A day at Auckland Town Hall!

Once again Room 7 was chosen to participate in another show held at the Auckland Town hall. Where we were shown a very unique dance performance and had the opportunity to learn different things at the activity stations held at the Aotea Centre.

The first activity we had watched was a dance based on the different sounds that you can make. The performance was electrifying and so choreographed well. After the performance they gave us a close Intel on the dance so we ended up dong the exact dance that they had performed for us at the end. It was very fun and energetic. Afterwards we had our morning tea.

After morning tea we went to the Aotea center for our other activities. Our activities were a Maori performance about a kangaroo and two birds. Also warm up activities that the actors did before they perform their plays. A Motion sense activity where we had to follow dance moves according to the person dancing on the screen, we went up in groups and had dance offs.

But my most favourite activity was when we had to get into sport groups and perform items based, on the certain things we do our in our sports. My sport groups was Touch. In my group I had three other girls from another school and Angelica. This was a great activity to bond, cooperate and share our individual ideas on Touch. We ended up with a great performance which blew our class mates away since our group was small and full of girls. In other words we totally showed the others groups up.
