Maths Dice game

As part of our Maths lesson we played a couple of Math games. Here are the instructions to the games. And before you move on you would need dices for both games.

Dicey Operations
We are learning to add and subtract using whole numbers and decimals

Today we will be playing a couple of add/sub games using dice.

Game One - Race to 1000
Draw up a 3 by 2 grid (see below) and throw the die 6 times. You need to decide which cell to put each number into give you a total closest to 1000. The person who gets the closest to 1000 wins.

Game Two:
Just like before, you will throw your dice to give you 6 numbers.  Your aim is to come up with the sum that will give you the smallest and largest answer, using addition and subtraction. You can only use the numbers that you have rolled. You don’t have to use the grid this time.
